Resurrection Day

This Easter weekend was a busy one for me!  Saturday was Beth's wedding, which was absolutely beautiful.  Beth was honestly the most captivating bride I've ever seen.

captivate: to attract and hold the attention or interest of, as by beauty or excellence; enchant

I can't wait to see pictures from their wedding.  As her personal attendants, Jenna and I actually got to go with the photographers after the ceremony just in case Beth and Jared needed help with anything while they took some pictures of just the two of them.  They pose so naturally together!  (I think they should be models.)

Yesterday was Easter Sunday.  It was nice to be able to spend some time with my family.  I haven't seen them much since I moved out.  I love family gatherings at my grandparent's house!  We had a nice meal together, watched some of the Twins game, ate delicious carrot cake made by Miss Julie Kreger herself, and played some cards.  (Dad tried to teach me 500!  It didn't go so well...)

I missed yesterday's Sunday Songday, so I'll make up for it today.  I think this song is fitting for Easter.  I get extremely excited when we get to sing this in worship at church.  I love the Hillsong version of it, but nothing tops singing it along with the band at Eaglebrook.

The day ended perfectly yesterday.  Since the weather was perfect, I convinced Wes to take a walk with me.  We walked down to the Stone Arch Bridge - my favorite place in Minneapolis.  We got there just as the sun was going down.  It was so nice to see everyone else out walking and running.  Unfortunately, I didn't bring my camera since my battery was dying but now that I live in the good old MPLS I'll have to get to that lovely structure more often.
