Springtime Favorite

There are so many things that I love about spring.  Not only does spring bring a glimmer of hope that summer is coming at some point (soon), it brings so much more... 

...the end of a long, drawn-out, Minnesota winter. 

...the feeling you get when you slip on your first pair of capris and flip-flops. 

...the sight of green (or still slightly brown) grass.

...the cool breeze coming through an open window in the morning, along with the familiar chirp of the birds in the trees.

...the first time you start to feel that tingle of the sun on your translucent skin, trying (and mostly failing) to darken it.

...the realization that you haven't been lugging your winter jacket around everywhere with you.  (freedom!)   

But my absolute favorite part of springtime...?

tulips.
